It's an (actual) date!

Seeing as I haven't done an outfit post for ages, I thought I'd show you guys what I was wearing on my date tonight! It's pretty low key, just eating out and then perhaps going on to this comedy club, but I'm kind of excited. I get a chance to wear this Taylor Swift-style dress that I got for a late birthday present! It has a petticoat and sticks out a bit so I can't really wear it in normal life!

And I'm not actually wearing the hat or the cowboy boots, more likely these pumps:

It's nice to be able to go out and have a relaxed evening in the midst of all this crazy planning and preparation for South Sudan. Only two days now!

Love,

Copycat Friday #9

Dress: Forever 21/Cardigan: New Look/Shoes (unseen): Primark

For this month's copycat Friday, I thought I'd find inspiration in my all time favourite singer; Taylor Swift! Some people think she's cheesy or just plain boring, but I think she is awesome and I love her songs :) Also, she has great style! So this is the outfit that I am copying today:

I would love to participate in the "A Blaze" series link up, but I have a long post about relationships lined up for tomorrow, so I didn't want to bombard you with too much writing! But seriously, check out the great posts on seeking God when your single, dating, breaking up and marriage!

Love,
Say :)

ps. Thank you so much to all my new followers! Glad you liked my blog and I hope you'll stick around and I can get to know you too :)

Safe and Sound

Oliver and I are slightly in love with Taylor Swift, so when it was first announced that she was writing a song for the Hunger Games, we were just a little excited. But then we heard it and we weren't really sure. But I have to say it has grown on me, and I am absolutely in love with the video. So when the weather turned all atmospheric and grey yesterday, we thought it would be fun to shoot a quick video of our own. We shot it in, like, 20 minutes and Oliver put it together in about 10, so excuse the quality etc. but I am quite happy with it :) I wouldn't ever post it on youtube or anything like that, but I thought you guys might like to see it!

As well as being a fun little project, I thought it was also cool as it allowed you guys to have an interesting tour of my garden! It is kind of crazy, half field and half wood, but it was a really good location actually :) I did manage to get stung by stinging nettles all over one foot, but that's the price you've got to pay for art... :P

Oliver and I have never made a movie like this before (except my vlog, if that counts) but I'd quite like to do another :)

And yes, I am aware that this is the second day that I haven't done a devotional, I just felt that I should do a 'lighter' post today!

Say :)
