Insta-saturday!

Just a few photos from the 'droid! My week has been kind of crazy, going back to college, cramming for mock exams (so so so scary to think that the real ones are in a couple of weeks!), writing essays the lunch before they are due in (I am the world's best procrastinator) and dealing with everything life throws at you! 

My youth group have the amazing opportunity to run a service at Church not this Sunday but next and, as it is my last one, I am writing part of the sermon which is just awesome. The theme is grace and I am totally excited, I love having the opportunity to explore the gospel and share it with the older community! The theme is grace and, once I've written it and if anyone cares, I will post it on here for you guys :)

Mafia.

When someone told me that our youth group social event was just a games night, I was a little unimpressed. But it was actually a really awesome night. Everyone was in hysterics and no one really knew how to play mafia. If you want to know, guys, the rules are here. And they say doctor not prostitute :P

Last Time for the Youth Weekend Away :(

As I mentioned in my last post, I went away this weekend with my church youth group to a centre in the middle of nowhere. It is truly an amazing weekend to go on and this was my seventh (and final!) one. It was sad to know that we were never going to go away like that again but it was also really good because the last one was one of the best :) Thank you to everyone who made it so special :)

I apologise about the quality of the photos, Oliver wouldn't let me take his camera so I had to use my brother's :/

So we had a beautiful weekend at a beautiful centre in the middle of a beautiful field. Beautiful.

Confirmation

So today (or yesterday, if you are going to be fussy) I got confirmed. And it was pretty amazing. I was volunteered by our temporary youth minister to read my testimony, but I hadn't written it until two days ago. I wanted it to be just right, explaining my journey but not babbling. I finally got it sussed, I even knew exactly how I was going to deliver it, but instead I ended up just crying. I still read it, through the tears and sobs, and I know that this was how God wanted me to share my testimony, with a display of raw, if slightly embarassing, emotion.

A great big thank you to everyone who came and supported me, I honestly didn't think that anyone would come on such short notice other than Oliver and my family (somehow my grandparents ended up coming?), but I was really grateful to the others from my youth group who came. With you guys by my side I hope that my faith just continues to grow and that I will always shine like a light in the darkness.

I was going to post my testimony, but it might be too long-winded, so I might do that at a later date. It's always here if any one wants to see it.
