Yes, we're going to a party, party...

On the way to my birthday meal, we got very lost trying to find a friends' house which didn't appear on satnav and ended up being kind of late to meet everyone. Now, this wouldn't actually have been an issue; if I hadn't completely messed up the booking. Everyone else who wasn't in our car piled into my favourite Italian restaurant, Bella Italia, and explained the situation, that they had a booking for 11 people under my name. Hmm. There was no booking under my name. It turns out that when I thought I was being smart and booking online, I forgot to amend the date and ended up booking a table for the 19th instead! Luckily, by the time we got there the restaurant manager had managed to find us a table anyway if we waited half an hour, so we just sat outside and I got to open my presents! So it worked out in the end :) Moral of the story: always phone the restaurant!

It was an awesome night, and clubbing was much better than I was expecting- we found a room in the   club that played actual music! And I had a great birthday :)

...now I just have to get back to real life and start revising for my sociology exam on Friday!

Eighteen!! :D

I was an attractive child with three chins who liked to sit in washing baskets.

Don't judge.

Then I was ginger and liked awesome glasses (I'm the one on the right!)

And then I chopped off my hair, wore a yellow jumper and resembled a boy.

Then I thought it would be cool to rock some curtains. (and we got a digital camera!)

Then I ate a lot and got fat.

And now... I'm just me!

So I've been here 18 years, learnt sixty billion things, from walking and talking to learning the difference between when you have to smile and pretend that you're ok and when it's all right to cry.

Time to party.

Life + Insta-madness!

1. I'm pretty sure I rocked my German speaking exam today! ( and even if I didn't, the examiner liked me so maybe I'll get charisma points?)

2. As a child, I always struggled with this: my birthday is on Friday, but is that in three or four days?

3. As is clear from the above; I can't count.

4. I had no idea that we have forever 21 in England, so when I was at London for my interview, I was actually crazy excited to find a forever 21 store on Oxford Street! And it was there that I found the perfect dress to go out on my birthday: sneak preview in the video here.

5. I will hopefully be blogging more soon, life is crazy hectic at the moment, with exams left right and centre!

6. I STILL NEED FOUR MORE FOLLOWERS BEFORE FRIDAY IF I'M GOING TO MAKE FIFTY!

Birthday Month!

Right, I'm sure you guys may have realised by now that my URL isn't random words, it actually says 'eighteenth of may', that's right! It's my birthday! And it's also a date :P Hence my header :) So this month is my birthday month! I don't know why I am excited, I don't really have that much to be excited about, but it is my golden birthday (I'm 18 on the 18th!) and I will officially be an adult! I am hoping to begin project 365 on my birthday, the aim being to take a (hopefully good) picture every day for a year :) And also I just want it to be an awesome fresh start!

For my birthday, what I would secretly love is 50 followers. I don't want to beg, but I'm going to go right ahead and hint. 50. That is my goal. I have 18 days so it probably won't happen, but a girl can hope, can't she? :)

Now...

Sorry I'm a little late :)

Another fact about me: I am always ill around Easter. Twice. And this year was no exception. So I apologise for the slight gap in posting, I have been going to bed insanely early, and when I haven't, I have been slowly struggling through the day with glandular fever. Yay  not.

Anyways... let's not make this a pity party!

In my absence, I have been playing around with the photos above which I shot the day after Lena's birthday- she is such a willing (and beautiful) model! Happy Birthday Lena!! I forgot to give you a birthday shout out on my blog earlier :P But here it is now :)

I am so excited to be getting involved with an amazing project ran by my dear friend, Rae, called 'The Kite Project'. Read all about it here! The idea is basically that you set yourself a goal with this massive support network around you so that you follow it through :) Is there anything you have always wanted to do but never managed to motivate yourself/find time/complete? Follow her blog and get involved! Let's chase our dreams, guys :) Even if you don't have a blog you can still take part!

George and his baby xD

Today is our good friend George's 18th birthday! You may recognise him as the lead guitarist in The Band, and in case you didn't make the link, he is also Lena's boyfriend :) We went to this really nice (and really expensive!) Chinese buffet place for his birthday meal and after he blew out the candles on his guitar cake, he was given a 20 year old Gibson Les Paul from his grandparents. It was a complete surprise and he was so happy :) Sorry Lena, he's got a new girl now ;P

Oh and I got an eye-patch in my cracker :D Not quite a guitar, but almost as good :)

I have a 20 year old sister and it scares me.

My big sister, Annie, turns twenty today. You might remember her from this post. Well, she's all better now :) It's weird because when you are a kid you assume that you will be "grown up" and "mature" by the time you turn twenty, but yet it doesn't really work like that; I'm sure Annie feels exactly as she did yesterday. Anyway, rant over, a very happy birthday to my amazing sister!!

We all went to visit her which was pretty cool because her little town/city thing was all dressed up for Christmas, so for the first time this warm, unseasonably sunny winter, it actually felt like December!

It was really cool, too, because my mother got me a gorgeous necklace from the Christmas market as my confirmation present :) Thanks mum!

We really are related, by the way, even though we don't look anything like each other!

 So, all that's left to say is: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNIE!! We love you :)
